Asya Günen (born 1999) is a Turkish writer, director and visual artist. She holds a double major in Media and Visual Arts and Psychology from Koç University and is currently pursuing a Master’s degree in Film & Virtual Reality in Milan. Asya has worked extensively in the Turkish film industry as an assistant director while developing her own artistic voice across short films and immersive media. Her work explores perception, memory, and emotional connection through a visually driven, psychologically informed lens. Sırtüstü (2024), her graduation short, marks her latest project, following her earlier short Lament (2022).
