Artemyeva Anna was born in Moscow. She graduated as a cinematographer and director of the animation at VGIK (All Russian State University of Cinematography was named by S.A.Gerasimov). Her diploma short animation film Once upon a time there lived a mother was selected at more than 50 festivals around the world (Russia, Ukraine, England, Bosnia, Lithuania, Romania, Bulgaria, Serbia, Georgia, Poland, Argentina, Germany, Belarus, Greece, Austria, Italy, France, Finland) and has awarded more than 25 times. Anna starts her master's at DocNomads documentary directing program 2018, based at three European Countries - Portugal (Lusofona, Lisbon), Hungary (SZFE, Budapest), and Belgium(Luca School of Arts, Brussels). Her student film Don't Hesitate to Come for a Visit, Mom made in a framework of Belgium semester of DocNomads was selected for significant festivals such as Vision du Reel (Nyon), Go Short(), Hot Docs(Canada) and Zagreb Dox. And won the IDFA Spotlight Award on Visions du Réel 2021. After graduation at DocNomads in Summer 2021, Anna Artemyeva planning to start her big research process for the first feature documentary film by working title What is Your Evidence? - a film about sexual abuse in small closed communities across five continents - in a school for gifted children, in an In a boys' choir, alternative small theater in a rhythmic gymnastics section, in a large family with many adopted kids.
