Ani Mrelashvili was born in 1995 and grew up in Tbilisi, Georgia. At the age of 18 she moved to Germany and studied Comparative Literature at the University of Berlin. At the same time, she worked on various film sets and started to realize her own short film projects. Since 2020 she has been studying Directing at the Film University Babelsberg Konrad Wolf. Her documentary "1 Kilo - 3 Euros" premiered at the renowned Sheffield DocFest in 2022 and has since been screened at numerous Festivals.
