Amber Rozema (1997) is a Dutch film director and scriptwriter. After graduating as a stage director at the Institute of Performative Arts in Maastricht (Toneelacademie Maastricht), she decided to focus solely on film making. After the completion of THE LEAP (2023), a short fashion film that she co-produced and co-directed with a group of artists, she made her first experimental poetry film Phantom Pain (2024). In her work, she often portraits characters aiming for a way of connecting in disconnection with another person. She usually explores grief and (dis)connection in her work, themes that she always tries to set down in a soft and poignant way.
