Adrian Figueroa is an Award- winning Theatre Director and Filmmaker from Germany. He gained his masters degree in “Applied Theatre” at the Central School of Speech And Drama and studied “English Literature & Drama” at the University of Greenwich in London. His work as a Theatre Director has brought him to German Theatres, including Deutsches Theater Berlin, Staatsschauspiel Dresden, HAU Hebbel am Ufer, Düsseldorfer Schauspielhaus and Maxim Gorki Theater Berlin. Figueroa's Films have been screened and won awards at numerous international film festivals, including Clermont Ferrand, Hof, Oberhausen, Kassel and Bogota. In 2019 he was a Jury Member of the Human Rights in Cinema Competition at the Istanbul Film Festival and stayed at the Tarabya Cultural Academy in Istanbul. Adrian Figueroa was part of Berlinale Talents 2021. His Film PROLL! was awarded with the Golden Lola, the German Short Film Prize, for the best short film in 2021. He is currently based in Berlin.
