Bio: Adam Martinec studies Directing at FAMU. Following in the example of all Czech film giants, he perceives truth and sincerity as the most important attributes and therefore he vigorously tries to capture them in his films. His short film “Sugar and Salt” was premiered at San Sebastian in 2018 and his last short film “Anatomy of a Czech Afternoon” was selected for Future Frames organized by EFP presented at KVIFF. Anatomy also won the Best Short FIlm Award at the Czech Film Critics’ Awards, two ČFTA Awards (Czech Lion), THE CILECT PRIZE for Best Fiction Short and several others awards.
