Works on

I tell stories that challenge perception—of relationships, identity, and the forces that shape us. I give a platform to the marginalized. My work explores power dynamics, devotion, and the unspoken tensions that define human connection. I’m drawn to narratives that break binaries, question myths, and expose the quiet revolutions happening in the margins. Cinema, to me, is a space for reimagining—where intimacy, longing, and memory collide to create something transformative. I want my films to shift perspectives, to linger, to disrupt.

Wero Rodowicz is a Polish-born, Zurich-based filmmaker whose work moves between raw intimacy and poetic realism. With a background in visual storytelling and a deep commitment to emotionally charged narratives, their debut feature, A Simple Drama, is a Swiss-German co-production that carries Polish and French roots. Shot in Italy with a Black cast, the film echoes the evocative sensibilities of her Polish, French, Jewish roots. Rodowicz’s cinematic voice is shaped by a fascination with mythology, minimalist aesthetics, and the emotional undercurrents of human relationships. Their next film is already secured with Polish and French production companies, further cementing their international presence. In addition to fiction filmmaking, they are working on projects with artists such as Jodorowsky, Abramovic and developing another international feature film. Driven by an instinct for both narrative and visual experimentation, Rodowicz crafts films that linger—haunting, tender, and deeply felt.
