I'm drawn to everyday life in provincial Italy: factory work, family, and the friction between routine and desire. My roots are in comedy and drama, but I'm increasingly pulled toward domestic genre - horror and unease that live inside ordinary homes rather than in monsters.

Valerio Narcisi (b. 1986) is a writer-director based in Porto Sant'Elpidio, in Italy's Marche region. He came to filmmaking through screenwriting and the regional film workshop Officine Mattoli, and has worked on five shorts since 2020 - as co-writer of Arturo (2020), assistant director and script supervisor on Pochi Istanti and the sitcom Metanaro, and as writer-director of Caramella (2025), winner of Best Marche Filmmaker at Fano International Film Festival, with a GASP special mention for social engagement, ten Italian festival selections and distribution by Prem1ere Film. His second short as director, Non fa ridere, shot over four days with a sixty-person crew, is currently in post-production. He is developing Walkie Talkie, a domestic horror short. He also works as a software engineer and is building Oh Writers, a screenwriting tool for the Italian market.
