I love to explore family issues and themes of homesickness, migration, and belonging in my films. I care less about the plot than the mood and feelings on the screen. I love dialogue scenes that make you laugh and quiet scenes that make you hug your loved one. Whenever I can, I love to show food and characters drinking and eating - portraying the small pleasures and yearnings of life, that's what I'm interested in.
