My work explores women, power, intimacy, and the fragile boundary between tenderness and violence. I am interested in psychological tension, hidden emotional worlds, and the ways ordinary spaces can become charged with fear, desire, and control. Through visually precise storytelling, I try to uncover what people cannot say directly.

Nastasya Tsykolenko is a Cyprus-based writer and director originally from Moldova. With a background in theatre and screen performance, her work focuses on women, power, intimacy, and the hidden violence within seemingly ordinary social structures. Her artistic approach is psychologically driven, visually precise, and centered on the emotional tension that shapes human relationships. Before moving into film, Tsykolenko spent many years working in theatre, including as Artistic Director of Repertory Art Theatre in Limassol. Her stage work was presented at international theatre festivals and received recognition including awards at Melikhovskaya Vesna and Vakhtangovtsy in Cyprus. Her experience across directing, performance, and film production has shaped a strong sensitivity to actors, rhythm, and visual atmosphere. Her short film Warm Hands (2025) screened at Cyprus International Film Festival and WIFT Women in Film & Television Festival in 2025. She is currently developing her debut feature The Bachelor. As a member of the LGBTQ+ community, Nastasya is an outspoken advocate for queer visibility and rights, and her work often reflects themes of identity, love, and freedom
