Born in Israel, Mor is a film director and animator based in Paris and Tel Aviv. In her childhood, Mor divided her time between drawing and being a competitive swimmer, spending endless hours under water. She decided to take her passion of drawing and cinema one step further and enrolled in animation studies. In 2013 she graduated with honors from the 'Screen Based Arts department' at Bezalel Academy of art and design in Jerusalem where she co-directed the film 'Floats'. The film received a warm welcome in festivals worldwide and won a Special Jury Mention Award in the ITFS Stuttgart Festival in 2014. After graduation she co-directed two more independent shorts- 'Cycle' and 'Ken Dror' which won best animated film at ASIF Festival. In 2015 she moved to France, pursuing her studies in Animation Direction at la Poudrière Film School. There, she directed 'Clapotis', her award winning graduation film which was pre-bought by CANAL+ and was exhibited in numerous festivals worldwide. In 2018 she was awarded with the 'New Talent of Animation Award' by the French authors association (SACD) and was the first Israeli artist to receive this honor. Her latest film ‘Voyage avec mon père’, winner of best film at Animaevka Festival and many more is touring the festivals these days. Inspired by humans and the poetry of their gestures, her work is influenced by minimalism and observation. She enjoys exploring the behaviors and movements of her characters with emotion and humor. Her animated films have won awards and have been exhibited in festivals worldwide, such as Hiroshima, Annecy, Zagreb, Clermont-Ferrand, Ottawa and Stuttgart festival. Today, while working on personal projects and collaborating on film productions with leading Paris and London based studios, Mor continues her journey in the water as a Watsu therapist and a swimming instructor.
