Miriam Gurguță is a Romanian filmmaker based in Berlin. With a strong passion for art-house cinema and personal documentaries, she began her journey into the filmmaking world through being part of the youth jury of the documentary film festival “One World Romania” in Bucharest, 2020. She continued by being part of the youth jury of the film festival “ArteKino” in 2021. During this period, she studied Practical Filmmaking at MetFilm School Berlin and had the opportunity to explore her creative approach both through documentaries and fictional projects. To further enhance her directing skills, she will take part in Film Campus Innsbruck-March 2024 edition. In the meantime, she works as a freelancer in Berlin and she is assistant director for a theater piece for Expat Theater Berlin.
