Meli Vasiloudes Bayada is a Cypriot cultural worker, artist and filmmaker. Her work focuses on queerness, migration, post-colonialism, identity, and nation. She is interested in resurfacing objects and archives, challenging narratives and discourses, and decolonising art and culture. Her first collaborative film, ‘In Our Millions’ (2023) was selected for screening at film festivals including Flatpack Festival (2025), Alchemy Film and Moving Image Festival (2025), Scottish Queer International Film Festival (2024), International Short Film Festival of Cyprus (2024), and Take One Action (2023). Her latest short documentary ‘Float’ (2025) was selected to screen at the International Short Film Festival of Cyprus (2025) as part of a programme of Cypriot documentaries. She has recently finished a Master in Arts and Culture at the University of Groningen, and is working across film festivals, galleries and organisations in Cyprus and the Netherlands.
