Maya Armon is an Israeli writer-director and producer whose work explores family dynamics, coming-of-age experiences, and intimate human relationships. She holds degrees from MetFilm School London and Tel Aviv University’s School of Film and Television and studied directing at FAMU International in Prague. Her short films YOUTH, IN BLOOM, and BECHORA screened at leading international festivals, including Palm Springs ShortFest and the BFI London Film Festival, receiving recognition from the UK Jewish Film Fund and the Solidarity Human Rights Film Festival. Her most recent short film, Mothers Do Cry (2026), was funded by the New Foundation for Cinema and Television and the Blavatnik Film Fund and is currently in festival distribution.
