Goodnight Sweetheart“ explores the socially ignored perspective of female abuse. It tells the story of a young man who carries an inexplicable fear of women due to his childhood trauma. The short film portrays the psychological burden on a young man who has never dealt with his painful past and becomes the monster he had to create in his desperate situation. The film raises the question of how we should deal with sexual trauma and criticizes society‘s tendency to overlook and be complicit in such matters.

Kathrin Told is an Austrian director and photographer and the creative force behind Battitude Arts. Her work is rooted in dark romanticism, exploring horror and fantasy through unsettling atmospheres, psychological tension, and visually striking compositions. Living with Crohn’s disease and C-PTSD, she channels personal experience into her storytelling, using film as a space to confront fragility, identity, and inner darkness. During her internship at RECOM Film in Stuttgart, she gained experience in concept development and editing, further shaping her narrative and visual approach. Kathrin holds a diploma in Media Design from Medienkolleg Innsbruck, a BA in Film, and a Master’s degree in Multimedia Art with a focus on Film Directing from FH Salzburg. Since 2023, she has been working independently as a photographer specializing in Dark Art and is currently writing her first book — a collection of horror stories. In her free time, she enjoys reading — currently revisiting the Sherlock Holmes stories by Arthur Conan Doyle — and spends much of her time with her two Siamese cats.
