Filip Jakubowski studies film directing at the Polish National Film, Television and Theatre School in Lodz, and previously studied photography at the Institute of Creative Photography in Opava. In his work, he’s focusing on experimenting with different matters that easily disintegrate or transform from one into another - creating an ever-shifting frame of reference. His works have been presented at Oberhausen ISFF, New Horizons IFF, Polish Film Festival, Belgrade Photomonth, Visa pour l’image in Perpignan, Magnum Photo "Home" London, Photon Gallery in Ljubljana, Ujazdowski Castle Centre for Contemporary Art in Warsaw and the 23rd International Print Triennial in Cracow, among others. He is a grantee of the Polish Film Institute and Ji.hlava IDFF Academy.
