EMMA BADING made her breakthrough in 2018 with her leads in comedies like “Meine teuflisch gute Freundin” by Marco Petry and “Grüner wird`s nicht sagte der Gärtner und flog davon” by Florian Gallenberger. For her role in the TV Movie PLAY she received a nomination for the International EMMY Awards, was awarded with the Hessian Television Award and the Bavarian Young Talent Award. In 2020, the 22-year-old made her director debut at the International Hof Film Festival with her self-developed short film “Unerhört”, a story about a confrontation with the personified menstruation. For that, she received the "Prädikat Besonders Wertvoll" and was honored as part of the German Youth Film Award. In her work as a director, she deals with socio-critical topics such as loneliness in old age, LGBTQIA+ and women's empowerment. Since September 2022 Emma Bading is studying directing at the Filmakademie Baden Württemberg.
