I believe that good films always consist of contrasts: documentary elements and artificial design, narration and atmosphere, non-professional actors and acting talent, high culture and pop culture, local and international encounters, radical individualism and solidary communities. I believe that the world and the ideas, dreams, and relationships of people are already more hybrid, fluid, diverse, and experimental than they are often portrayed, and I want to make films that tell those stories.

Camille Tricaud (Bordeaux, 1992) is a French director and producer. She studied philosophy in Bordeaux (bachelor's degree) and has kept from those years a great curiosity and a need to be precise about the words or images we use. She moved to Germany and made some short films alone with a small panasonic camera. She entered the University of Television and Film Munich (HFF) in the department of Documentary Film Directing. She directed several films, which were selected and awarded internationally (Cannes Next Generation, finalist at the Student Academy Awards, selections in IKFF Hamburg, Oberhausen, Clermont Ferrand, Côté-Court, Ji.hlava,…). She graduated in February 2023 with her fictional short film "Slow down the fall", which was presented in competition at the Short film festival Hamburg and received the Special Mention from the jury. In 2022 she founded the German-French production company "Benedetta Films" together with Felix Herrmann and Maximilian Bungarten (https://benedettafilms.com/). Together they produce and direct short and feature films. They are particularly interested in European co-productions. Camille Tricaud believes in auteur-driven films with unique perspectives, and also in the idea that no film can be made alone, but rather it takes collaboration and a network of film enthusiasts. Camille Tricaud divides her time between Munich and Paris.
