I'm not very happy you have to discover my films on a small computerscreen in Vimeo quality, especially Marquet Place, which was made in Cinemascope format. Therefore I wish that film will be selected ( it got already 20 selections by now) in filmfestivals with decent screening facilities, which allow magic to happen, because the right dimensions of a screen hit our senses with the right rhythm.

Annick Christiaens is a Belgium director, scriptwriter and actress, who lived and worked a long time in Paris before choosing Antwerp to settle down. She obtained a Master degree at the Superior Drama school of Antwerp and afterwards at the Superior National Conservatory for Dramatic Art in Paris, before obtaining a bachelor degree at the University of Paris III for Film- and theater directing. Next to her acting career she started writing and directing. Her first Short Movie “THE DINNER” (Le REPAS) about multiculturalism, won the Award of Best Short Movie at the Near Nazareth Film festival, her second Short Movie “ONCE UPON A TIME,” a fairy tale about small happiness, got finalist at the International Film festival of Moscow. Her third Short Movie MARQUET PLACE has just started its festival career with a wonderful price of Best Comedy in Toronto short film festival and Best Actress in the New York C.A festival. She's currently working as the scriptwriter of a fiction-series The Olympic Survival with the support of an English production company.
