I grew up and live in Charleroi, a city that permeates all my stories. I chose to highlight the relentless darkness of this region. The antiheroes, more touching and meaningful to me than the overly bright characters, come to life in my stories. They push us to introspection, acting as mirrors of our inclinations that we prefer to ignore.

Since childhood, I have been deeply passionate about writing, cinema, and literature. Coming from a working-class background, I never initially imagined making these passions the center of my life. Instead, I began my professional journey through various jobs: working in construction, factories, forestry, hospitality, call centers, and more. Yet, every evening, I dedicated myself to reading and watching films. In 2013, at the age of 33, I directed my first short film with limited resources, discovering in the process that filmmaking was my true calling. After a restructuring at the company where I worked as a customer consultant, I decided to fully commit to cinema. I pursued technical training and created several short films within small teams, taking on writing, cinematography, directing, and editing myself. This hands-on experience became my film school. In 2017, I directed Ruffians, my first funded project, which received international recognition, including a selection at the renowned OFF Odense Festival. I later secured a writing grant to develop my first feature film, Morsure Anthracite, which I am currently seeking to fund. To strengthen my funding applications, I also wrote and produced Among the Countless Nights, featuring Fabrizio Rongione, an award-winning actor at Cannes. This project continues to represent my dedication to storytelling and filmmaking as I strive to bring my vision to life.
