After studying cultural studies, Ali wrote as a freelance screenwriter children's series for german television (KIKA, NDR, SWR, MDR), developed some Feature Film Scripts and worked as a musician. For several years she now has also been working as a filmmaker (fictional, documentary & experimental videos) and overseeing projects as a Script Advisor. 2017-2018 she was employed as head of Medienwerkstatt Linden, where she organized the further education area „mediacampus" for professional filmmakers. The short-film "Noctuidae" was also her debut as a producer. She lectures Screenwriting at the University of Arts and Science of Hannover (Media Design) and is currently working on screenplays for feature films.
