Jan works as a screenwriter, director and producer for both documentary and short films. In 2017, he founded zeitgebilde Filmproduktion with Benjamin Schindler and co-developed the feature-length documentary PLAYLAND USA, which was released in 2019. Jan also develops and produces image films, short feature films and music videos. He studied at the Academy iof Media Arts in Cologne. He was a participant in the 2018/19 TP2 Talent Pool, the 2020/21 ISFF Workshop Program for Producers and Production Managers and the 2021 Cannes Producers Network.
