Dimitra Petmeza is a writer and director from Athens, Greece. She studied Film Directing at HCTS Stavrakos and Film Studies at Hellenic Open University. Her experimental film «Salome» (2018), won Best Experimental Film at Karlovac Four River Film Festival. Her short film, «Air-Condition» (2023), premiered at Tampere Film Festival 2024 (XYZ competition). Her short film «The Quiet Weight of Things» (2025), won the Best Female Performance award at Drama International Short Film Festival 2025 and is nominated for a Hellenic Film Academy Iris Award. She was selected to Sarajevo Talents 2026. She is currently developing her next short film «Twin Cherries» that has already been selected at Sarajevo Talents Script Station 2026, Drama Pitching Lab 2026, Linz Film Festival Short Film Lab 2025 and WIFT Gr Sessions 2025.
