Let’s Pitch Some Shorts! is a training workshop and pitching forum that helps directors, screenwriters and producers prepare and present their short fiction film projects to industry professionals and audiences. Initiated by the Creative Europe MEDIA Desk Croatia and co- organised by the Creative Europe MEDIA Desks of Cyprus, the Czech Republic, Estonia, Greece, Hungary, Montenegro, Serbia and Slovenia, together with the Film Center of Montenegro, Arts Council Malta and the Organisation for European Programmes and Cultural Relations in Cyprus, it selects a small slate of projects each year from across the participating countries. Held annually in mid-June in Zagreb and led by producer Roshanak Behesht Nedjad, participants receive professional training and one-on-one mentorship before presenting to an international jury. Beyond a €3,000 main prize for the best project, the programme offers a range of awards and industry opportunities each year — script and project consultancy, festival and distribution strategy guidance, market and industry accreditations, and connections to leading European short film platforms — helping emerging talents develop their projects and cross borders.
