He was mentored by the late Pema Tseden, whose influence deepened his commitment to observational storytelling and cultural specificity. His work explores displacement, intimacy, and the weight of unspoken bonds. His directorial sensibility favors restraint, behavioral observation, and open-ended storytelling.
