(EN) Moana Son is a French filmmaker based in Brussels, and a 2024 graduate of INSAS. After living mainly in France, then spending three years in China, she earned a dual Bachelor's degree in 2017 in Film Studies (Columbia University, New York) and Political Science (Sciences Po Paris). Whether working in documentary or fiction, her practice leans toward a formal exploration of simplicity and minimalism, often characterized by pared-down storytelling. (FR) Moana Son est une réalisatrice française basée à Bruxelles, diplômée de l’INSAS en 2024. Après avoir vécu principalement en France, puis en Chine pendant 3 ans, elle obtient en 2017 une double licence d’études cinématographiques (Columbia University à New York) et de sciences politiques (Sciences Po Paris). Tant en documentaire qu’en fiction, sa pratique tend vers une recherche formelle de la sobriété et de l’épure, marquée par une narration souvent réduite.
