Ulysse graduated in Cinema at the National Film of School of Mexico and in Film Animation at the Mel Hoppenheim School of Cinema, in Montreal. He has directed several short films, including Gusarapos, which had its world premiere at PÖFF Shorts (2024) and was recently selected for the Tampere Film Festival (2025). Other notable works include his co-direction of the documentary Canis Familiaris (2019), selected at Shorts Mexico and at the Mexico City Independent Film Festival, and the stop-motion animations Barbarie (2022) and How are you spending your time? (2020), both praised at the International One-minute Film Festival organized by the Autonomous Metropolitan University of Mexico. Additionally, he made the experimental film Desenterrar (2024), part of the Microshorts competition at L'Alternativa, Barcelona, and Internal Consultation (2014) and Helical (2013), both presented at the Fantasia Film Festival. He has also produced the short films Vera, special mention at the Morelia International Film Festival (2020), and Al final, el mar, winner of Best Narrative Short Film at the San Diego Latino Film Festival (2021). Finally, he has worked as a key animator on the film essay Memory of a Displaced Body, winner at the FICUNAM (2024), on A Wooden Toy Dreamed of Paper Boats, nominated for the Ariel Awards in 2021, and on Pozolli, first prize at Nespresso Talents Mexico (2019).
