T-Port is a non-profit online platform aimed at promoting films by emerging talent
and facilitating the distribution and circulation of short films within the professional
film industry. The platform currently showcases more than 950 short films, made by
independent filmmakers and students, including award-winning films and top festivals
selections. Check out the video or read below on how you can benefit from T-Port.
What do you get from presenting your film on T-Port?
I study in a film school who is a member of T-Port, do I need to pay for presenting my film?
No! And that’s the great thing about it. If your film school is already a member of T-Port, you do not need to pay for uploading your film. To receive more info on this, please contact your school’s representative on distribution or festivals. See the list of our current film schools members.
I am affiliated with an organization that is a member of T-Port, can I upload my film?
To receive more information on this, please advise with your contact person at the institution. Our list of industry partners with a catalogue on T-Port is available here.
As an industry tool, T-Port is restricted for professional use – i.e. festival programmers, TV buyers, VOD services, sales agents and distributors that are scouting for short films and talent, as well as producers, talent agencies and young talent promotion bodies, who are searching for their next discovery. T-Port is supported by Creative Europe MEDIA and was co-established by Tel Aviv International Student Film Festival and Gesher Film Fund in 2017. In 2019 T-Port established a non-profit association in Germany (e.V.).
FAQ
Your film will be showcased in our online market and on your School’s/Partner’s catalogue. Once you have signed up and uploaded your film, you will receive your own personal film page and profile that you are also able to share outside of T-Port (see Can I share my film with individuals who are not T-Port members?). Additionally, every film is also eligible for the consideration of T-Port Lighthouse Selection – a section of the website curated by our guest leading programmers that will receive additional promotion (see What it is T-Port Lighthouse Selection?).
No. Having your film on T-Port is not considered as a public screening as we restrict viewing access to industry professionals only and so, this should not compromise your chances in taking part in other festivals with the film. This is similar to having a private link, but simultaneously allows professionals who haven’t been exposed to the film yet to access it when they wouldn’t otherwise.
Our online community includes more than 2000 film industry professionals who receive regular updates through our newsletters and social media platforms, informing them of new films uploads, recommendations, etc.
We use innovative technological infrastructure – advanced search tools, customized recommendations, and more – to help professionals find exactly what they are looking for. If your film gets chosen for T-Port Lighthouse Selection, you will receive even more exposure and further opportunities for your film (see What it is T-Port Lighthouse Selection?).
For you, this means your film details need to be as informative, accurate and as up to date as possible; in particular, this includes details about festivals, awards, and other programs your film is currently or has taken part in. Films that are currently being screened at top festivals will be showcased on the ‘Festival Spotlight’ of the website.
Our work continues offline too. We regularly attend major film festivals around the world such as Cannes, Berlinale and Clermont-Ferrand, where we hold a variety of events, panels and one to one meetings in order to maximize opportunities for your film.
We also have partnerships with leading institutions such as the Les Arcs Talent Village and the Torino Short Film Market so that we can provide our filmmakers with exclusive opportunities to promote your films.
In recent years we have also attended POFF ,Go Short, Winterthur, Festival de Nouveau Cinéma, Watersprite, to name but a few.

When an industry professional is interested in your film, they may choose to contact you. Any contact made will be received as a message sent directly to the email address that you signed up with. We do not intervene in that process, it is the filmmaker’s responsibility and choice to handle it as s/he sees fit.
