Bio: Julian McKinnon (Italy/UK, 1986) is a screenwriter based in Marseille. His collaborative work with French filmmaker and activist fiume challenges dominant representations of gender and agency through a subversive queer lens. Together, they traverse genres such as surrealism, vampire film, and Italian giallo. La Vedova nera is their second short film and Julian's directorial debut.
