Bio: Jan Koester was born 1978 in Berlin. He spent his youth in small towns of western Germany, where he learned to love nature, adventure and trance music. He studied at Filmuniversity Potsdam „Konrad Wolf“ and won a silver bear at the Berlinale with a film about a rockstar that doesn't want to age and prefers to stay in Nirvana. Jan co-funded the Talking Animals Animation Collective after university with animation friends and colleagues. After working for almost every animation business there exists, he is now focusing on short films again, working on different subjects such as intimacy, body issues, masculinity and dancing. Jan is also exploring and working on an AR experience. He's also a photographer and a musician.
