Bio: Alina Yklymova, born in 1990 in Meiningen on the territory of the former USSR, grew up in Turkmenistan, raised in Hessen, Germany. Besides studying Motion Pictures (B.A.) and Leadership in Creative Industries (M.A.) at Darmstadt University of Applied Sciences, she worked at German broadcasting company, gaining various experiences in film and television production. Later, she lived and worked independently in Berlin on various film and art projects. Since 2017, she has been studying Directing (diploma) at the Filmakademie Baden-Württemberg, exploring the possibilities of experimental storytelling in narrative film.
