One Woman sets out to uncheck the urge and desire taboo in our lives that is so seldom explored authentically and openly; at times not even between women; at times not even individually, on one’s own. This diverse group of women is all played by the same actress therefore highlighting the notion that all women share the same urges and yearnings that only differ in whatever forms of expression and pleasure they may take on. Through their narratives, all of which are documented anonymously thus making them authentic, sharp, direct, and above all else, shameless, a broad spectrum of sexual wants and preferences is laid out. Every woman reveals her own individual, sexual journey she’s been on from girlhood to present-day; and despite their stark differences, any and all women could recognize themselves in these six personas and relate. The series turns the spotlight onto female sexuality and in doing so, allows an altogether fresh point-of-view on women; on education; on breaking convention. It is a song of praise for the female gender in all its shades and therefore all project creators are women. Each episode is made up of a different cast of women (director/photographer/editor/makeup artist, etc.)
