JAN KOESTER was born in 1978 in Berlin and studied at the Film University Babelsberg KONRAD WOLF. His films include: the shorts MÜSLI (2002), OUR MAN IN NIRVANA (2006), THE PINETREE VILLA (2016), ABLAZE (2019, co-dir. Alexander Lahl) as well as numerous music videos and video installations.
ALEXANDER LAHL was born in 1979 and studied Cultural Sciences in Berlin, Wroclaw and Frankfurt (Oder). He works as a writer, director and producer of animation and documentary films. Together with Max Mönch, he founded the mobyDOK medienproduktion. He directed the films MICKI (2014, animated documentary short, co-dir. Izabela Plucinska), FOLLOW YOUR NOSE (2015, documentary, co-dir. Max Mönch), OCEAN’S MONOPOLY (2016, documentary, co-dir. Max Mönch), BROKEN (2016, animated documentary short, co-dir. Volker Schlecht), COMRADES & CASH (2018, documentary, co-dir. Max Mönch) and ABLAZE (2019, animated documentary short, co-dir. Jan Koester).
